The lovely and talented Chrissy Gemmill recently sent me a few pieces of her handcrafted jewelery to check out and review. My favorite piece was this adorable vintage button ring- it's very well-made and I love that's simple and understated, but still adds a little pop of interest to a regular outfit or typical day. Chrissy uses a lot of different materials to create her one of a kind pieces, and I feel lucky to call a couple of them my own.
From her website:
I am a work at home Mom. I have a precious two year old little boy. While he sleeps I work with my little dog Tippy by my feet. I have a wonderful husband Matt who is very supportive of my craft. I also teach a few jewelry making classes and workshops.
My list of inspirations is huge as my everyday existence is filled with subliminal creative messages. But mostly I draw inspiration from nature, Victorian lifestyle, Gothic art and architecture, retro fashion, Halloween imagery and love.
I do not like to adhere to any specific rules when I design except that my line must remain cohesive. I take what I do seriously but it is important to me to have fun with it.
